H-1! The Indonesian national team is undergoing closed training ahead of the kickoff of the 2023 U-17 World Cup
The Bima Sakti team trained at the THOR field, in the Jalan Patmosusastro area of Surabaya on Wednesday (08/11/2023). To keep the training session a secret, the area around the field was even covered with black cloth.
Previously, Bima Sakti had revealed that he was reluctant to place target burdens on his foster children. However, he guarantees that the Indonesia U-17 squad will play optimally in every match.
"What is certain is that I don't want to burden the players too much. What is certain is that they also realize that this is a rare opportunity," said Bima Sakti.
"They already know their duties and responsibilities. Always focused in every match and ready to give their best," added Bima Sakti.
The Indonesian national team will have its first match in the 2023 U-17 World Cup on November 10 2023 against Ecuador U-17. This match will be held at the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium at 19.00 WIB.
Before that there is the opening match of the 2023 U-17 World Cup at 16.00 WIB. Panama U-17 will duel against Morocco U-17, also at the Gelora Bung Tomo Stadium, Surabaya.

As usual, the teams that qualify for the round of 16 are the teams that win the group. Likewise the team in the runner-up position.
However, there are still four teams in third place that can qualify for the knockout phase. They will compete for tickets to the next round with the status as the best third ranked team.
In the round of 16, the four third-place teams will face the winners of groups A, B, C, and D. The specific matches involving the third-place teams depend on which four third-place teams qualify for the round of 16
In this knockout round, if the match ends in a draw during normal time, there will be no extra time. The winner will be determined immediately via penalty shootout.

The winner of the round of 16 will of course have the right to advance to the quarter-finals. After that, the winner of that round will play in the semifinals.
This semifinal round will be held on November 29 2023 at Manahan Stadium in Solo. Then on December 2 2023, the final round will be held in the same city.
But before the final round was held, there was a duel for third place. The match was also held in Solo on December 2 before the top match took place.
